The world is in a state of chaos, but not everyone knows it.  The heavy hand of powerful organizations and elites control the keys that impact the lives of many.  We have entered an age in which manipulation of DNA has become as much a part of the arms race as any nuclear weapon.  Following the mapping of the human genome, scientists discovered the awakening, a process that involves the activation of “junk” DNA.  Meta-humans, people who can perform extraordinary feats, were the result of this process.  Knowledge of this secret information/technology has become a critical part of world domination.  In the face of these threats is the Strand, a group led by a man with a vision to re-shape the world and empower the people.
